Chapter 13 - The Protagonist's Halo is quite absurd

At times, one had to be rewarded for being kind and considerate. Wang Haoran did just that.

A vigorous steamy battle ensued and after a while, it finally ended in Wang Haoran's favor.

"How many girlfriends did you have before me?" Wen Jing snuggled her body close to his arms under the blanket and inquired adoringly.

"You are my first."

When Wen Jing heard it, she was elated.

She was a pure and innocent little girl who grew up to only love Wang Haoran.

Prior to that, she didn't even hold hands with the other males.

"Are you aware that Chen Zishi loves you?" Wang Haoran abruptly asked.

"Is that so? No wonder he always comes over to ask me for help regarding a new topic every day. He is really annoying. If he continued to ask me questions tomorrow, I will plainly avoid him." Wen Jing said with contempt.

"No, you must answer his questions normally, and treat him as a fellow ordinary classmate.

"When you're busy answering his question, a girl would likely approach you and ask you to return her one thousand yuan.

"You need to act as pitiful as possible during that time, stating that you don't have a way to return the money back. That girl would then agree to extend the time. "Wang Haoran said mysteriously.

"Why is that?" Wen Jing couldn't comprehend the reason.

Wang Haoran creased his brows in a frown:

"I appreciate girlfriends who are well-behaved. I don't like my girlfriend who in every case asks me the reason for everything I say."

"I will be obedient to you then, just like a little kitty." Wen Jing replied to Wang Haoran with a loving smile and misty eyes.

"A little Kitty?"

"Right, meow. meow..."

Her expression was just too damn cute.

Wen Jing appeared to be silent on the surface and often resembled a bookworm. One would not have expected her to also have such an adorable side.

Wang Haoran felt that he indeed made a profit in the end.

He had to wake up early to attend classes the next day.

He had to hurry up...

***

The next day.

Wang Haoran and Wen Jing both had their breakfast in the five-star hotel. After that, they sat in Cullinan and showed up at school.

As they were close to approaching the school, Wang Haoran let Wen Jing get off the car first.

The two entered the school one after the other.

In the classroom, when they ran into each other, Wen Jing, as expected, was obedient and followed Wang Haoran's instructions.

They had to get along, as usual, just like fellow ordinary classmates.

It was as if yesterday's events had nothing to do with them.

***

Between the classes.

Xu Muyan and Wen Jing left for the washroom together.

"Jing Jing, it feels really strange to see you squirm while walking. Are you perhaps ill?" Xu Muyan asked curiously.

"I just twisted my ankle when I was returning back from my self-study last night. It's a bit uncomfortable to walk." Wen Jing responded with a smile.

"Oh, Your injury might be a little severe, let me examine it for you." Xu Muyan said with deep concern.

"It isn't necessary, it's just a trivial matter. I have already wiped it clean and applied for proper medicine. It might take a few days to completely heal."

"Okay then, I will help you walk."

***

During lunch break.

Chen Zishi came over with a smile to clarify his doubts regarding a certain topic with Wen Jing.

She didn't even want to pay any attention to him. But on recalling what Wang Haoran had told her, she could only endure for now and continued to explain the topic patiently.

After a while, a girl from another class walked into the classroom and urged Wen Jing to return back her one thousand yuan.

Wen Jing obediently following Wang Haoran's instructions pretended to be pitiful and pleaded with the other party to let her extend the time of return.

The girl reluctantly agreed and left only after making a cruel remark.

Chen Zishi who observed everything on the sidelines, naturally, was heartbroken.

He immediately yelled at Chu Bai who was in the corridor outside the classroom and urged Chu Bai to return his one thousand yuan back.

But how could Chu Bai pay the money back?

Chen Zishi who was anxious to help Wen Jing solve her problem, after a short while, seemed to have lost his mind. He nearly fought with Chu Bai with haste.

The place where the two quarreled was not far from the teacher's office.

Wang Haoran and Xu Muyan, the two Academic toppers, at the moment, were busy seeking guidance from the teacher for more Mathematics topics.

They could also vaguely hear the quarrel outside.

Wang Haoran happened to identify one of the two voices that belonged to Chu Bai.

It was evident that the contradiction between Chen Zishi and Chu Bai broke out directly under his meticulous planning.

[Ding! The host succeeded in disrupting the relationship between the Protagonist Chu Bai and the Main supporting cast Chen Zishi, receiving 200 villain points. Chu Bai's Protagonist Halo has been devoured by -10, while the Host Villain's Halo rose up by +10. ]

Wang Haoran earned a wave of rewards as he had hoped.

He then examined his attribute panel.

[Host: Wang Haoran]

[Combat value: 89]

[Charm Value: 268]

[Villain Halo: 179]

[Villain Points: 600]

[Skills: None]

Chu Bai's present situation was anything but reassuring.

Wang Haoran intended to hit Chu Bai who was already down by igniting two flames.

The first flame was that he already requested the Private Detective to trail Chu Bai and shoot the video of his Underground Casinos adventure.

It would then be posted on the campus forum of the school.

As a senior high school student, Chu Bai, to one's surprise, was actually gambling money in the casino, which was clearly against the school regulations. The punishment would not be less severe than fighting.

Not long back, Chu Bai was banned from repeating the same mistake which he now did not adhere to making a huge mess out of it.

It would now become impossible for Chu Bai to continue to stay in the school, right?

The second flame.

The scarred man's underlings from the Underground Casino were still after Chu Bai.

It was just that as they weren't aware of Chu Bai's background, it was less likely to find Chu Bai.

As it should be, Wang Haoran was willing to provide them assistance.

Chu Bai could no longer continue to stay in the school, while people would be ready to chase after him as soon as he stepped outside the school.

Chu Bai's head would likely lie in the hands of the underlings.

After Wang Haoran was done with all this, he could visualize Chu Bai being chased by a group of gangsters after the study session the next night. The occasion was really stimulating. Wang Haoran couldn't really wait to witness that.

In the evening, Wang Haoran was playing basketball with his classmates

Around the basketball court, many fangirls continued to cheer on him again and again.

At this moment, a police vehicle drove into the campus.

The car was gradually parked on the roadside of the campus.

Two fearless-looking men in uniform stepped out of it.

One of the men held a silk banner in his hand which was meant to be given as a reward.

Wang Haoran shot a glimpse at them but he didn't really seem to care.

Not long after, the Principal's voice was broadcasted all around the campus.

A student in the school, more or less, reported a group of criminals who opened a casino.

Consequently, those lawbreakers were brought to justice.

The reward was sent by the bureau to the student claiming a bounty of 40,000 yuan.

The Principal then went on to encourage the other students to report when they encounter such unlawful matters under the premise of ensuring their own safety.

When Wang Haoran heard it, he almost cursed on the spot.

Although the Principal did not mention in the broadcast who the student was, Wang Haoran was a thousand percent sure that he was Chu Bai!

Apart from him, there would be no other people.

The scarred man's place was quite old-fashioned. It must have existed for a good deal of time.

How could something that existed for a very long time, however, collapse that easily?

The end result was caused by a casual report by Chu Bai leading to everyone being arrested.

What was even more exaggerated was that Chu Bai also received a bounty of 40,000 yuan.

The medical expenses of 30,000 yuan which he compensated to Fan Jian and others had now been returned back to him.

The money he owed to Chen Zishi could now be repaid with an additional 1,000 yuan that he obtained in his bounty.

Chu Bai's previous punishment would be completely negated by the meritorious service he had offered.

The events that Wang Haoran painstakingly plotted up were completely broken all at once.

The Protagonist Halo was too intimidating!

  1. Guys, I know I'm wrong. It wasn't my intention to trigger you. I only wanted to share my point and shouldn't have written it that way. I was somewhat not happy with how he does things. At the end of the day, that's what I personally feel. I shouldn't have made it known to you from the start. I'm really sorry. These days, much of my time is being spent for translating and writing fanfictions, so I had little to no sleep for the last few days. I was getting irritated for no reason. I am sorry for that and admit it. From now on, I wouldn't try to write any TL Notes. Thank you.

    1. I mean we aren't discouraging you from writing TL notes. We just don't like the hate comments about other translators in them. If you could write TL notes without the negative things about other translators or work, it would make reading your translation more enjoyable.
